Hello there, my name is Brandon Wilson and I am the owner of Distant Horizon. I hope that in reviewing our portfolio of web site development work you will see the pride we have in our sites and the deep well of design and programming talent we have in our 15 person staff based in the Chicago suburb of Lockport.

I arrived relatively early on the web site development landscape; in fact, in 1997 I was building web sites out of my parent’s house in Mokena. Although I had a strong sense of quality and a love for sales and consulting, I soon ran short on design and programming skills. This led to an interesting business model…a web firm managed by an individual that is neither a designer nor a programmer by training.

Although that has made it challenging for me over the years, I’d like to think it has made it much better for our clients. The biggest complaint I hear about computer-oriented people is that they use too much jargon and talk down to non-technical people. As much as I’ve learned about web sites, I still try hard to view them with the eyes of a business owner, prospective customer or one of the other 300 million people out there that use the web to research, shop or learn…not as a web geek or branding hot shot.
